bio : Crazy about drumming since the age of 11, when he first saw Buddy Rich on TV. After some private lessons, he continued learning by himself. Unfortunately he made a big, big mistake as he was was convinced that even an autodidact can be a good drummer. It’s possible, but only up to a certain level. The moment you want to work with people that have studied music, you quickly become aware of the “self-teaching” limits. In spite of all, he had a lot of fun, and from 1971 to 1983 played the drums in 2 bands: WHY (Rock) and ANGELUS NOVUS (progressive Rock).
In 1983 he stopped his musical activities as problems with articulations became more and more serious. For the next 20 years, he avoided all contacts with the world of music. In 2003, his son Ben started with classical percussion and with the new drumset the desire for noisy activities came back.
favorite bands: YES, ELP, Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Clapton, Genesis (mit P.Gabriel), Gov't Mule, Camel, Caravan and all kind of funky music.
